Living in Caroline Springs has become a major challenge for families. Instead of the quiet suburb we expect, our nights are constantly disrupted by reckless drivers and the loud, persistent "pops and crackles" of modified exhausts. For those of us with young children and pets, this isn’t just a nuisance, it’s a constant source of stress that ruins our sleep and well-being.

The current situation feels uncontrolled. Our streets are being used as racetracks because there is no visible deterrent. We are exhausted by the lack of action and the fact that those responsible for this anti-social behaviour face no consequences.

We are calling on local authorities to stop ignoring these disturbances and implement two clear solutions:

• Reinstate a full police presence: We need local law enforcement back at full capacity to provide consistent patrols and a visible deterrent on our roads.

• Install anti-hoon cameras at hotspots: High-tech surveillance at known problem areas is a proven way to catch and fine those with illegal modifications and reckless driving habits.

Caroline Springs was built for families, not for hoons. We deserve to live in a neighbourhood where we don’t have to constantly live with hooning and lawlessness.
