We, the residents of Pasco County (including Land O’ Lakes, Lutz, Odessa,Trinity and surrounding areas), request the immediate restoration of the public online crime map and active call-for-service log previously available through county resources.

These tools allowed residents to track crime trends, monitor calls for service, and stay aware of incidents in their neighborhoods. Their removal has left the community without essential insight into local safety concerns.

We request the following:

• Restore a public online crime map updated regularly

• Restore a 24-hour call-for-service log with general incident details

• Add a clearly labeled link on the Sheriff’s Office website for easy public access

• Maintain at least 365 days of public history

• Protect privacy by redacting sensitive personal information while still providing meaningful public data

Why this matters:

• Helps residents make informed safety decisions

• Strengthens trust between law enforcement and the community

• Provides transparency and accountability

• Supports neighborhood crime-prevention efforts

• Reduces rumors and misinformation by providing real data

We respectfully ask Pasco County leadership and the Sheriff’s Office to restore these tools within 30 days and provide a public transparency policy outlining update frequency and privacy practices.
