Ex employees of MCF under the banner MCF HESARU ULISI vedike launched a movement to restore the erstwhile name Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd (ಮಂಗಳೂರು ರಾಸಾಯನಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ರಸಗೊಬ್ಬರ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ) in November 2025. Simultaneously online petition was also launched. Memorandum was submitted to the management of merged company. Subsequently memorandums also submitted to District Commissioner, local MP and MLAs. Press meets were arranged to create awareness among the public and stakeholders. But when MLC Ivan Dsouza entered the fray the movement received the boost. Subsequently the management agreed to restore the name to the main name board. Though this did not fully meet our demand, we have succeeded in restoring the heritage name back to the main name board. It shall remain there as long as this company continues to manufacture Fertilizers. We thank everyone who supported us by signing this petition. We are committed to preserving this name as long as this company remains in operation. United we have made it possible.
