Auspost Response - 4th August

 City of Newcastle informed Australia Post that they consider the matter resolved on Thursday, 30 July.

Australia Post have scheduled a call for this Thursday, 6 August to step through the outcome and ask some pertinent questions from our perspective. We have not yet been afforded the time to consider the actions taken in any detail nor to conduct an assessment to determine if safety conditions have changed sufficiently to allow resumption of delivery.

I would appreciate your continued patience while we step through the appropriate process, with the shared understanding that the safety of everyone, including our delivery staff, is the primary concern. We recognise the inconvenience this situation has caused to residents in the area and do not take the suspension of delivery lightly.
