As parents, guardians, and concerned community members of Goodwood, Cape Town, we have witnessed a concerning decline in the quality of education at JG Meiring High School. Our children are suffering due to the lackadaisical approach towards their education by the current principal and SGB members. The imbalance in educational opportunities is glaringly apparent - from academics, sports, social & culture.

In the past two years alone, there has been an alarming rate of staff turnover. Educators are frequently absent or unavailable for entire quarters leaving our children without guidance for certain subjects. This lack of consistent instruction has led to a significant drop in academic performance as students struggle with what to study without proper lessons.

Our children's future is at stake here. They deserve an environment that fosters learning and growth rather than victimization. We demand immediate action - starting with replacing the current principal and SGB members who have shown themselves incapable of maintaining high educational standards.
