Dear WKSA Leadership,

We, the undersigned Kuk  Sool  Won students, write with deep concern for the safety, reputation, and future of our global martial‑arts community. On learning that Master Alex Suh has been elevated to President of the World  Kuk  Sool  Won Association, we feel compelled to speak plainly.

Serious Misconduct Allegations and Criminal Record
Multiple women in several countries have come forward with credible, detailed allegations of sexual assault against Alex Suh and these were filed as sworn statements in court. Alex Suh also has a documented criminal conviction for violently assaulting an untrained civilian. These facts are now widely known among students and the broader martial‑arts community, yet WKSA has never provided transparency or accountability.

Erosion of Trust and Reputational Harm
Promoting an individual facing such allegations signals indifference to student welfare, contradicting the core values of Kuk  Sool  Won and shaming the Korean martial‑arts tradition we cherish. Furthermore, many of the students do not like Alex Suh and although as students we follow and trust our school leaders, it puts us in an awkward and uncomfortable position when he visits our schools as we do not want him there.

Leadership Obligations
WKSA’s directors and senior masters have a fiduciary and moral duty to safeguard students, uphold ethical standards, and preserve public confidence. Retaining Alex Suh in the presidency undermines those duties.

We respectfully demand the following immediate actions:

Resignation of Alex Suh
Alex Suh should step down from the presidency and all senior roles within WKSA.

Appointment of Sahng Kwang Jahng Nym Barry Harmon as President
Barry Harmon is widely regarded for his integrity, decades of service, and dedication to student safety and traditional values. Installing him as president will stabilize WKSA, restore confidence, and honor the association’s founding principles.

Public Commitment to Transparency
WKSA should issue a statement detailing its plan to implement this leadership change and outlining concrete steps for safeguarding students and addressing past failures.

Why This Matters
Every student has invested years of discipline, resources, and personal reputation in Kuk  Sool  Won. We train not merely for physical skill but to embody honor, respect, and responsibility. Allowing an individual with outstanding multiple sexual‑assault allegations and a violent criminal record to lead our association endangers students, diminishes our art, and damages the reputation of Korean martial traditions worldwide.

We therefore call upon the decision makers named above to act courageously and without delay.

Signed,

Kuk  Sool  Won students worldwide
