Restore Hawaii's Sovereignty, Return Land to Natives, and Repair the Damage

The Issue

We, the concerned citizens of America and supporters worldwide, call upon the American government to take immediate action to restore Hawaii's sovereignty, return land to its native people, and repair the damage inflicted upon both the environment and local communities.

For over a century, Hawaii has suffered from colonization and exploitation that have resulted in severe consequences for its indigenous population and natural resources. It is time to acknowledge these injustices and work towards rectifying them.

There is an urgent need for restoring Hawaii's sovereignty, returning land to its rightful Native owners, and repairing damages inflicted upon both the environment and communities.

Those who have grown up in Hawaii have witnessed firsthand the diminishing presence of Hawaiian culture within their communities. The language that once thrived is now endangered, with only a small fraction of Hawaiians speaking it fluently. Their traditions are fading away as younger generations struggle to connect with their roots. This loss not only affects our identity but also deprives future generations of their cultural inheritance.

Furthermore, it is crucial that we address the issue of land ownership in Hawaii. Historically, vast amounts of land were unjustly taken from Native Hawaiians through colonization and illegal annexation. Today, much of this land remains under federal control or is owned by corporations rather than being rightfully returned to its original owners.

The environmental impact caused by military activities in Hawaii cannot be ignored either. Military bases have led to significant damage in fragile ecosystems such as coral reefs and forests while polluting our air and water resources. These damages not only harm wildlife but also affect local communities who rely on these natural resources for sustenance and livelihoods.

To rectify these injustices and restore balance within Hawaii:

1) We urge government officials at all levels - local, state, and federal - to acknowledge the historical wrongdoings committed against Native Hawaiians.

2) We call upon lawmakers to take immediate action towards restoring full sovereignty rights back into Hawaiian hands.

3) We demand that lands wrongfully taken from Native Hawaiians be returned to their rightful owners, ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage and the empowerment of indigenous communities.

4) We request that funds allocated to military activities in Hawaii be redirected towards repairing damages inflicted upon the environment and communities.

By signing this petition, we are standing together to demand justice for Native Hawaiians, restore their sovereignty, return land to its rightful owners, and repair damages caused by historical injustices and military presence. Let us preserve Hawaii's rich history, culture, language, and environment for generations to come.
