Restore Fair Pay for Dietitians at Berry Street

Restore Fair Pay for Dietitians at Berry Street
The Issue
Working as a dietitian at Berry Street, I have firsthand experience of the dedication and expertise it takes to provide quality care to our patients. Unfortunately, dietitians like myself are facing a concerning pay cut that undervalues our profession. We were recently informed that our pay for initial assessments will decrease from $50 an hour to just $35 an hour. This change affects not just our livelihood but also the standard of care that our patients deserve.
Dietitians are instrumental in crafting and implementing dietary and nutritional plans that contribute significantly to the health and well-being of our clients. By slashing our pay, Berry Street sends a discouraging message about the value of our work. When we consider that these services are being billed to insurance companies, there is a strong argument that a fairer distribution of that income could and should be directed towards the professionals delivering these vital services.
The reduction in pay represents more than just a financial hit; it signifies a lack of recognition for our skills, knowledge, and the vital role we play in healthcare. The expertise of dietitians like myself should be respected and financially acknowledged.
I urge Berry Street to reconsider this pay adjustment and acknowledge the value and expertise that dietitians bring to the organization. We are not merely a cost to be minimized but an investment in the health and future of our patients.
We need your support to make Berry Street listen and act fairly. Sign this petition to stand with dietitians and advocate for fair compensation for the essential services we provide. Let's ensure Berry Street values and adequately compensates the dedicated professionals striving to improve patient outcomes every day. Please sign and share this petition.
