As a devout Christian, I am deeply moved by the significance of Easter Sunday. It is a day that commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead. This profound event forms the very foundation of my faith and that of millions around the world.

However, Today,  Easter Sunday has been overshadowed by another observance - The Transgender Day of Visibility. It should not come at the cost of diminishing or replacing long-standing religious traditions.

Easter is observed by over 2 billion Christians worldwide (Pew Research Center), making it one of the most widely celebrated religious events globally. Its significance extends beyond religion; it also plays an essential role in cultural heritage and community bonding.

In contrast, Transgender Day of Visibility was established relatively recently in 2009. While its purpose - to honor transgender people around the world - there are other days on our calendar where this could be observed without conflicting with major religious holidays.

Therefore, we urge those responsible for scheduling these observances to consider restoring Easter Sunday's traditional recognition over Transgender Day Of Visibility. Let us preserve our rich cultural heritage and traditions.
