Two years ago today KW City Code was notified Marriott Beachside had placed the illegal, unpermitted fence on a 40+ yr. old pocket park public beach. All they had to do was look at the 2007 Hildebrandt riprarian survey that Robert Spottswood submitted to the State for an easement for neighboring submerged lands to determine the property he placed the fence on was not his. They did not. It took until December 2021 when City Commissioner Kaufman stood up for the People to begin the start to right this wrong and create a resolution to resolve this issue - first in plan: getting an updated survey.
