I am a taxpayer and a parent of three children who have attended New Paltz schools. When live streaming of BOE meetings was introduced, public comments were always included. This school year, that has ended.

Limiting access to public comments only to those who attend meetings in person excludes many community members and risks misinformation. Recording and livestreaming comments ensures transparency, accountability, and that everyone—regardless of work, childcare, or health constraints—can stay informed and engaged.
