The workers at Mother’s restaurant are already underpaid at the rate of $7.25 per hour.  Waiters primarily make money from their tips. By having signs throughout the restaurant that say NO TIPPING allowed not only discourages patrons from tipping but does not allow waiters to be rewarded for their service. In this city where there is a clear divide and disproportion of wealth, Mother’s Restaurant which hires primarily black waiters is doing a disservice to an already undeserved population.  I encourage EVERYONE to stop patronizing Mother’s Restaurant until they remove the NO TIPPING signs and replace them with PLEASE DON’T FORGET TO TIP YOUR WAITER.
