The Issue
The Pace Highschool Senior Assassin game is a beloved tradition for many students, including myself. It's supposed to be fun and engaging, a way to bring the senior class together in a thrilling and suspenseful game of strategy. Unfortunately, this year, the spirit of the game has been crushed under the weight of unfair rules and unjust restrictions.
This year's game has turned into more of a driving challenge rather than the intended playful water gun showdown. The rules are emphasizing and prioritizing driving skills over the excitement of tracking and "tagging" opponents with water guns. This focus takes away the fun and essence of what Senior Assassin is supposed to be about—an exhilarating chase and an opportunity for seniors to safely blow off some steam before graduation.
The rules also seem to lack uniformity, contributing to confusion and dissatisfaction among participants. It feels like we have been robbed of a rite of passage, something we've eagerly anticipated and dreamt of experiencing.
Given these circumstances, we are left with no option but to demand that the event be either restarted with fair and consistent rules that prioritize the appropriate use of water guns, or that participants be refunded their fees. A fair game fosters teamwork and sportsmanship, enhancing our memories of high school rather than leaving us frustrated and disappointed.
We urge the organizers and relevant authorities within Pace Highschool to take immediate action to rectify this situation. Allow us to experience the true spirit of Senior Assassin, a game we all cherish deeply and deserve to play fairly. Please sign this petition to help ensure fair play and the restoration of the tradition for our senior class.
