Mr. BASSAM is a highly corrupt politician who had hijacked FAM by bribing few clubs and suspending main clubs in Maldives. During his regime, he FAM has failed to pay salaries to FA staff, coaching team, refrees, ball boys etc. He has failed to settle several debts to airlines, AFC and many other foreign parties. FAM is currently in debt of over a million dollars and a lot of such cases are ongoing in courts and FIFA.

He has purposefully suspended major clubs like VSC, NRSC which resulted in loss of Football heritage. FAM first division football league is played in empty stadiums for past 5+ years where no fan is interested in watching football anymore. National football team has lost a lot of international games due to funding issues, delays and administrative issues resulting to drop Maldives FIFA ranking and has lost our South Asian dominance. Local clubs are no longer playing in AFC cup due to administrative failure. FA cup is no longer played and youth teams are not getting any international games to participate in while they do not have any academies either.

Lets all unite and raise our voice against this corrupt Bassam while he is still busy cutting deals with politicians trying to save his post.
