Honesty started this petition to Residents of South Bass Island and concerned citizens

The current Mayor,  Jessica Dress and the interim police Chief, James Kimble, have violated the ordinances of the village of Put in Bay through their back door hiring practices and have endangered the lives of the residents of the island as well as the officers within the department. The two of them have done this by not providing adequate training to their officers and have hired officers that have proven at other departments that they are unfit to be in uniform. Under Kimble and the Mayor, they hired a Sgt. who previously had a drug conviction and they have hired officers that have documented histories of crimes against women.

The Mayor and Kimble have also spent tens of thousands of tax payer dollars in an attempt for the mayor to squash a personal beef with Chief Riddle who has patiently awaited returning to his position. Kimble himself has had a difficult time in law enforcement and has lied to avoid taking responsibility for his actions. Additionally, Kimble has assaulted a crime victim and operated with the Village of Put in Bay without a proper OPOTA Certification.

We feel that the only course of action would be to have the Mayor and Kimble step down from their positions of power since all they have done is abused their power and influence. It is time to bring Chief Riddle back and restore the integrity of the Put in Bay Police Department.

Please help us to bring Chief Riddle back and have the Mayor and Kimble step down. Please sign our petition.
