Defeat attempts to rezone our residential neighborhood for a commercial purpose

The Issue

Rezoning of our neighborhood by the Spero addiction center for commercial purposes (29997 Buffalo Park Rd and 29877 Buffalo Park Rd., JeffCo Case Number 19-115873PA) will create unnecessary risks and costs for local residents. The developer has moved in aggressively from out of town, threatening property owners. He has no experience with this type of project and has treated residents with great disrespect (see news report with developer shouting at senior citizens and Veterans during recent meeting:

https://kdvr.com/2019/09/17/evergreen-community-divided-on-future-of-substance-abuse-center-inside-former-church/

The developer has failed to clearly assess and communicate the marginal impact and burden on shared services, both volunteer and taxpayer-funded. The operator appears likely to function with limited or no oversight, skirting laws pertaining to addiction treatment and short-term residential rental.

The non-local parties behind this project are operating under multiple names, both individual and commercial. The financial figures provided have been misleading at best.

Please sign this petition to voice your opposition to this unnecessary and dangerous rezoning request.
