Say NO to expansion of Slater Funeral Home parking lot!
Say NO to expansion of Slater Funeral Home parking lot!
The Issue
On Nov. 23, 2020, Brentwood Borough Council will vote on the application by Mr. Slater to allow rezoning of 201 Wainwright Ave. residential property to Mixed Use. The goal is to expand the already large Funeral Home parking lot (107 spots) by 11 spots, 6 of which would replace the residential property, if the rezoning is approved.
Mr. Slater already demolished 3 good homes to build the Whitehall House. He has area on his property to add more parking spots, yet he is intent on depriving the Brentwood community of the 4th livable house.
The construction of the Whitehall House, which was supposed to host lunches for families of the deceased and wakes but is instead rented out for any party imaginable, has been causing excessive flooding to adjacent properties. Party goers bring extra noise and pollution.
Residents have been fighting against this rezoning since February 2019. The council is seriously considering to approve this project which is detrimental to the community and only benefits Mr. Slater!
Please sign to oppose this project and urge the Council to deny this rezoning!
