Sadly we are in a generation of ‘no fault of their own single parents’ having to use a system that is failing resident parents and children. Sadly the non-resident parent feels that they will not contribute to the raising of their child/children and this in turn is putting resident parents and children into poverty and causing £££££ of unpaid maintenance which eventually is written off by the system. We need change, we need support and updated legislation to be able to make these non-paying parents accountable.
