My heart breaks seeing many of cats and dogs living a harsh life in the streets. To me, these animals are worthy of our affection, compassion, and attention. They too deserve to live a fulfilling life, free from suffering. The harsh reality is, millions of stray animals are struggling for survival in almost every corner of the globe. In the Philippines alone, it is estimated that there are around 12 million stray animals. This clearly shows that the problem is bigger than what we might think and immediate action must be taken. 

I am petitioning for the implementation of stronger, proactive measures to protect and safeguard these innocent creatures, from either rehoming these strays or creating cozy shelters before harsh weather conditions hit. Local authorities, rescue organizations, and citizens should work hand in hand to put an end to this severe issue. We must provide them with the basics: food, water, medical attention and most importantly, love, and companionship. Imagine the number of lives we can save and the amount of happiness we can bring into this world by rescuing these strays.
