Rescind the Decision to Close St Fergus Church of Scotland Wick Caithness

The Issue

We, the Congregation and local Community, have had connections with this church since 1830. It was originally called Wick Old Parish Church until joining with Wick Bridge Street in 2009, to form St Fergus Church. In 1994 it was upgraded and remodeled to give easier access & cost effective to maintain.

Our Church is used on a weekly basis for outside groups, also as a place of peace & tranquility for the community & visitors alike. It houses many War Memorials & beautiful commemorative windows.

The decision by Highlands & Islands Presbytery to close St Fergus as of December 2024 will not only affect our spiritual home but also remove an essential community hub that has served us for generations. Please sign this petition to help us keep our beloved church open!
