As a student at “Thee” Glenmuir High School I find it extremely unfair that we are only given one day to prepare for our graduation pictures. This special occasion marks a significant milestone in our lives, and having just one day to get ready is inadequate and stressful. Many of us feel unprepared and rushed, unable to present ourselves in the best possible light on a day that will be immortalized in photos for years to come.

Moreover, the cost associated with graduation has become a burden for many students and their families. Alongside the emotional and academic pressure of completing our studies, the financial strain is another hurdle we are forced to overcome. By allowing us to lower these costs, such as being able to do our own makeup, we can lessen the financial impact and make the experience more inclusive for everyone.

Changing the date for our graduation pictures to provide us with more preparation time and reducing unnecessary expenses will not only benefit us individually but also improve the overall graduation experience for our school community in May Pen. Allowing students to have control over their makeup and other preparations can make graduation more personalized and memorable.

Let's make this special day enjoyable and fair for all graduating students. It's time for a change that supports the future of our students.
