With no CSO discharges into this tributary since 19/2/26 the appearance of the water has improved,  in places you can see the river bed.

Water samples again taken from the site:

Ammonia 0

Phosphate 0.33

E-Coli (Result in 48 hrs)

No visible wildlife present

Parameter Result Status What It Means

Ammonia 0 mg/L Excellent No evidence of recent sewage pollution

Phosphate 0.33 mg/L Elevated Indicates nutrient pollution (sewage/agriculture)

E. coli Pending Awaited Will confirm faecal contamination

What a Healthy River Should Show

Ammonia: 0 mg/L

Phosphate: < 0.05 mg/L

E. coli: Very low or none

Clear water with visible riverbed

Healthy wildlife present

Summary

Clear improvement is visible with no ammonia detected. However phosphate remains elevated

indicating underlying pollution. E. coli results will confirm if contamination persists.

It was really interesting to compare the roadside ditch flowing into this tributary and see how clear this was running, flourishing with plant life and healthy looking.

Please send in any photos that you snap of the river near you, good or bad, they all help support the petition.

I have been asked what can and can't be flushed down toilets. Sewers are only designed to carry the 3 P's

PAPER, PEE AND POO

Over the next few days I hope to visit the other two CSO sites to carry out tests and record results.

Things are definitely moving in the right direction with regards to engagement with Wessex Water, Councillors, Parish Councillors, Landowners and Farmers.

I am looking to invite anyone willing to give some time and creating a group work on projects. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch.

Keep sharing the petition and thank you all for your support
