Require Vail Resorts to Bring Back Ski Check Service at Stevens Pass

The Issue

Like many others, we have witnessed and experienced equipment theft at Stevens Pass. To many of us, this is not just a resort; it's a significant part of our leisure, our community, and our lives. The widespread incidence of equipment theft has cast a significant shadow over our love for the sport and the resort. This petition is not just a personal concern, it represents the collective frustrations of countless victims of theft here at Stevens Pass.

Now, with ever-rising ticket prices and growing resort amenity costs, it seems the least we could expect is a measure of safety and value for our equipment. It is not enough for Vail Resorts to treat this problem with silence and neglect. We call on Vail Resorts to acknowledge the concerns of their clientele by immediately investing in solutions to counter rampant theft.

One such investment should be the reintroduction of the Ski Check Service - a proven solution to this persistent problem. Stevens Pass resort used to provide this service, but canceled it following the demolition of the existing ski check structure.

This is not an unreasonable demand. It's a matter of safety, value for money, and it is critical to ensuring the Stevens Pass community can continue enjoying the slopes without worry. Join us in calling on Vail Resorts to prioritize their patron's safety by addressing equipment theft and reintroducing the Ski Check Service - for the love and longevity of our mountain community. Please sign the petition.
