The Issue

Living in our quaint cottage community has always been a dream come true for our residents. We value the peace, beauty, and security that our little corner of the world provides. However, one issue has consistently overshadowed our residents' satisfaction — the inconvenience of traveling to the post office to collect packages that should rightfully be delivered to their doorsteps. This is more than a minor inconvenience; it diminishes the enjoyment and ease of living in our community.

Our residents, states it becomes a deterrent, turning a simple task into a difficult chore.

The USPS’s current policy seems outdated in our age of technology and convenience. Many other delivery services manage to find their way to our cottage homes, providing the service promised without extra hassle for the residents. Therefore, it's perplexing and frustrating that USPS, a service many of us trust and rely on, cannot do the same.

According to the USPS's own standards and expectations, deliveries should typically reach the customer directly, unless an obstacle prevents access — a situation that isn’t the case in our community. Our roads and sidewalks are accessible, clearly marked, and no more complex than countless other areas serviced directly by postal carriers.

We urge USPS to consider this necessary change, not just from a service standpoint but also from a humane perspective. Our community is growing, and the need for reliable, convenient mail delivery is paramount.

We believe in progress, in change for the better, and in providing comfort and convenience to residents. Your signature on this petition will amplify our call for change, helping us push for a solution that ensures all packages are delivered directly to the doors of the cottage homes. By signing, you support the right of our residents to enjoy the full benefits of their homes without unnecessary inconvenience. Please stand with us in urging USPS to update its policies and practices to better serve our community's needs.
