The Problem
Snohomish County is currently reviewing the Bradford Heights 60-Lot Planned Residential Development (Project No. 26105979PSL). While we understand the need for housing, the current infrastructure on our local roads cannot safely or efficiently handle the "trip generation" that 60 new homes will create.

The proposed site already experiences significant congestion during peak hours. Adding dozens of new vehicles without improving the road capacity will lead to:

  1. Increased traffic delays for current residents.
  2. Safety hazards for school buses and emergency vehicles.
  3. A failure to meet County Concurrency Standards, which require that infrastructure keeps pace with growth.

The Solution
We, the residents of Cushman Trails II community along with our neighbors in Cushman Trails I and Glen Cove communities (all of which are directly across the development), request that the County Hearing Examiner and PDS require the following as conditions of approval for this permit:

  1. Mandatory Road Widening: The frontage and access points on 45th street must be widened to accommodate the increased volume.
  2. Dedicated Turning/Extra Lane: An extra lane or dedicated turn lane must be installed to prevent bottlenecks at the subdivision entrance.

Why It’s Urgent
The official public comment period ends on May 13, 2026. We need to show the County that the community is united in demanding responsible growth. We are excited about new home development and we welcome it but we need to ensure it comes with  better commute and  safe, functional roads for our families.
