Require Publicly Released Annual Cognitive Tests for All Politicians Over Age 65

The Issue

In the United States, the retirement age is set at 65 for most workers, recognizing the importance of ensuring that individuals have the opportunity to retire and enjoy the fruits of their labor. However, we face a different standard for politicians, who arguably hold some of the most critical positions in our country. It is essential to ensure that our leaders are fully capable of performing their duties with the highest levels of cognitive and mental acuity.

We, the undersigned, call for the establishment of age limits and cognitive assessments for elected officials as follows:

Mandatory Cognitive and Mental Evaluations: Any individual running for elected office who is over the age of 65 must publicly submit to cognitive and mental evaluations on an annual basis.

By signing this petition, I affirm my support for these parameters to ensure that our political leaders are held to the same standards of accountability and capability as the rest of the workforce.

This measure is not just about age; it is about maintaining the integrity, effectiveness, and reliability of our government.

Let us stand together in advocating for equal standards for all, ensuring that our elected officials are fully prepared to meet the demands of their critical roles.

Sign this petition to support age limits and mandatory cognitive evaluations for elected officials over the age of 65.
