At Ormiston Senior College, the Senior Ball is a memorable highlight of the school year, a unique occasion where friends create lasting memories and celebrate their high school journey. In 2026, however, the beloved tradition of having photo booths at the Senior Ball faces a potential change, as there are discussions around replacing them with 360-degree cameras.
We want to bring the classic hit back.
While 360-degree cameras may offer a novel experience, they cannot replicate the nostalgia and fun associated with traditional photo booths. Photo booths provide an engaging and interactive way for students to capture moments with their friends. They allow for fun props, immediate printouts, and that exciting anticipation of squeezing into a small space with your best mates, making each snapshot truly special. Many students have expressed a strong preference for multiple photo booths instead of a singular 360-camera setup, as it also allows for more accessibility and the chance for everyone to fully participate in capturing their cherished memories.
The school's previous use of photo booths has always been a hit among students, who look forward to the charming, printed photos as keepsakes, as well have the ability to view it digitally afterwards.
