Require Meta to improve VR game store quality

The Issue

The Meta Quest store is becoming flooded with low-effort Gorilla Tag-style games. They are cheap knockoffs remixing the same open-sourced locomotion with minimal changes—new map, some tweaks, and perhaps some neon lighting added on.

The result? The front page is perpetually cluttered with these copy-paste "monke tag" games, drowning out deserving and genuine VR titles from getting into the light. Good games get pushed down, and it becomes increasingly difficult to discover anything new or original.

Following the merger with the base store, it got worse with App Lab titles. Shovelware and clone games aren't just lurking in the dark; they're fully out in front.

We’re asking Meta to:

1. Add a toggle or tab that separates App Lab games from the main store by default.

2. Enforce higher quality standards—flag blatant asset flips and recycled locomotion clones.

3. Highlight original, well-made VR games that push the medium forward.

Now the system rewards developers for cranking out copies of the same game, rather than taking risks on creativity. We're not against Gorilla Tag per se—it's a cultural trend. But the store shouldn't be garbage dump for a thousand slightly-different variations because the movement is simple to replicate.

This is a problem that is a problem everywhere with Meta Quest. The VR platform that we all love is becoming diluted.
