Require IWG to Uphold Contract Security Measures for Office Space Renters

The Issue

My life was altered forever when I experienced sexual assault in a commercial building, my work sanctuary, rented from Regus, a co-working space owned by IWG. This devastating incident forcefully underscored the fragility of my safety as well as that of countless others who rent office spaces under the assumption of protection.

IWG, a prominent global workplace provider, holding a portfolio of 3,300 locations in over 110 countries, is contractually obligated to ensure the safety and security of its clients. Yet, the horrendous incident I endured reveals a glaring failure of IWG in discharging their basic responsibility.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics reports that around 25% of rapes happen in a commercial area or a public place like a parking lot or commercial building. This is far from an isolated issue and the need for stronger measures to prevent such incidents is very pronounced.

From this moment forward, we demand IWG strictly adhere to their contracts by providing vetted and established security measures for all clients renting office space. Each and every individual should feel safe when stepping into their working environment. There is no justification strong enough to trivialize the necessity of this standard.

Let us transform this agonizing experience into the catalyst for necessary change. Together, with your signature, we can hold IWG accountable and make our workplaces safer. Please sign this petition now, to insist on our right to a secure work environment.
