Require ICBC Compensation for Not-at-Fault Accident Victims

Require ICBC Compensation for Not-at-Fault Accident Victims
The Issue
My daughter and I were involved in a severe car accident recently. I was at a complete stop in rush hour traffic when a driver behind us, traveling at 60 mph, failed to stop and plowed into us. The crash caused significant physical injuries to both my daughter and me, and my beloved Rav 4 was considered a total loss.
We were not at fault, yet we find ourselves struggling both physically and financially because of this incident. This isn't just our story. There are countless others who suffer due to ICBC's new regulations that inadequately support victims who are not at fault in accidents.
ICBC's updated policies severely limit the compensation and support available to innocent victims of car crashes. Instead of supporting those who are hurt through no fault of their own, the current structures leave many like us facing the burden of medical bills, loss of income, and the tremendous stress of recovery with little to no assistance.
It is crucial to hold at-fault drivers accountable while offering fair compensation to those who have sustained injuries or loss through no fault of their own. Government and ICBC must review and amend these policies to ensure that innocent victims receive the support and restitution they deserve.
Change is necessary to protect and support people who find themselves victims of negligent driving. We urge the policymakers to hear our stories and take immediate action to rectify the current situation.
Sign this petition to demand action and ensure that ICBC compensates victims who are not at fault in car accidents.
