Allowing certain vetted and trained members of the public to carry firearms in public spaces can be a robust measure to protect against potential threats. According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, areas with concealed carry laws have seen reductions in violent crime rates, as law-abiding citizens become better equipped to defend themselves and others in emergency situations.

I've used the US as an example as I'm sure some people will say, "look at America and it's gun problem!!"
