The Issue

One of my good friends, Ary, faced a bedbug infestation at the East Tower of San Miguel. Despite reporting the issue and even providing a live bedbug as proof to the front desk, her concerns were initially dismissed. It was only after a second inspection that the authorities acknowledged the presence of bedbugs. Astonishingly, despite this realization, the management is only treating her room and not taking comprehensive action across potentially affected areas. Bedbug infestations are not just a nuisance; they pose significant health risks and can lead to mental stress due to sleepless nights and the fear of being bitten. Current industry standards for handling bedbug outbreaks demand that fumigation efforts extend beyond the initially affected area—to include above, below, and adjacent rooms—to ensure the complete eradication and prevent further spread. The leadership at San Miguel has failed in addressing this issue appropriately, leaving residents in distress and at risk of continuous infestation. Their ineffective handling contravenes widely accepted pest management guidelines, putting the comfort and safety of their tenants in jeopardy. We're urging the management of San Miguel to take immediate action by following proper fumigation protocols, ensuring that affected rooms and neighboring units are thoroughly treated. This proactive approach will not only provide relief to those already suffering but will also protect other residents from becoming victims of this persistent issue. Please sign this petition to demand that San Miguel's leadership uphold their responsibility to provide a safe and healthy living environment for all its residents by effectively dealing with the bedbug situation.
