I am reaching out as a part of the passionate community of PC players who are desperate for an essential change in Battlefield 6. I've been an avid gamer and a fan of the Battlefield series for years, and it has always been a joy exploring the game’s stunning graphics and immersive environments. However, with the introduction of Battlefield 6, my experience has been marred by avoidable technical issues that are ruining the enjoyment and competitive fairness for PC gamers. This has compelled me to bring this issue to light.

Battlefield 6 automatically enables cross-play, putting PC players in matches with console players without an option to disable it. While cross-play aims to enhance the gaming community by allowing people on different platforms to play together, it has inadvertently led to significant performance issues on PCs, and as a result, it disrupts our gameplay. Many PC gamers are encountering unbearable desynchronization problems and lag—issues that severely impair the fluidity and responsiveness that PC gamers expect and value.

Moreover, the unregulated mix of players from different platforms creates an uneven playing field. Console players often have auto-aim assist features which provide them with a competitive edge over PC players. These differences undermine the spirit of fair play and have left many in the PC community feeling frustrated and sidelined.

To restore balance and ensure everyone can enjoy the game at its best, we are urging EA and DICE to introduce an option for PC players to enable or disable cross-play at their discretion. This simple but crucial feature will allow players to choose how they want to engage with the Battlefield 6 community. By offering a cross-play toggle, EA and DICE will empower every player to tailor their gaming experience according to personal preference and hardware capabilities, ultimately enriching the experience for all participants.

Given the acclaim and impact of the Battlefield franchise, it is imperative that developer decisions reflect the needs and concerns of all players. Not addressing these cross-play dilemmas risks alienating a significant portion of its dedicated player base.
