Require Comprehensive and Exhaustive Recycling in Our County

The Issue

Like many people in our county, I have become increasingly frustrated by the limited recycling services provided by our local authority. Why must I travel to a grocery store to recycle certain items when a wide range of materials could - and should - be recycled right here at home?

Our community deserves better. Our planet deserves better.

Every piece of potentially recyclable waste that is not recycled represents a missed opportunity to conserve resources, reduce the need for landfill space, and lessen the impact on our environment. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the recycling rate in the United States was just 32.1% in 2018. That leaves room for considerable improvement.

We propose the implementation of comprehensive and exhaustive recycling services at a county level. We ask our local authority to expand their recycling schemes to accommodate all recyclable items, regardless of their nature or size.

Every resident should feel assured that their recycling efforts are contributing to the betterment of our environment, rather than resorting to the confusion and frustration that current programs may cause.

Let's push for a recycling revolution in our county. Together, we can make a difference for our planet. It is our responsibility, and it is also within our capabilities. Please, lend your signature to our cause. Improve our recycling, improve our world.
