The Issue

Plastic is killing us. It's not just a distant environmental issue; it's a pressing health crisis that infiltrates our daily lives. There is no other way to put it: plastic damages our health. Studies have shown that when plastic breaks down, it releases nano plastics into our bodies, impacting our health in ways we are only beginning to understand. These minuscule particles have been found in human organs, including the lungs, liver, and kidneys, and have been linked to a myriad of health issues, including cancer and reproductive problems.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Our environment is suffering immeasurably due to plastic use. Our oceans, once brimming with vibrant life, are now clogged with plastic waste, threatening marine ecosystems and the species that rely on them. Birds, fish, and mammals ingest plastic, mistaking it for food, and it fills their stomachs, leading to starvation and death.

We can no longer ignore the devastating impact that plastic has on both our bodies and our planet. It's time for change. By requiring companies to switch back to glass packaging, we can take a significant step forward in protecting our health and preserving the environment.

Glass is recyclable, reusable, and safe. It does not leach harmful chemicals, and it has a much lower environmental impact. Transitioning to glass would reduce the plastic pollution crisis and, importantly, decrease the amount of harmful chemicals entering our bodies. Glass packaging is not a radical idea, but a return to a sustainable practice that worked well for decades.

We call upon local and national governments to legislate the mandatory use of glass in packaging once more. We implore manufacturing companies globally to heed this call and demonstrate environmental responsibility. Together, we can push for a healthier planet and a healthier population.

Join us in this movement towards sustainability and healthier living. Please sign this petition to demand the return to glass packaging for products. Your signature can be a force for change. Make your voice heard today.
