Overlook Park is one of Ridgefield’s central gathering places, hosting events that bring

shared community space, it should reflect the traditions and symbols that help people
come together across backgrounds and beliefs.

A permanent flagpole would provide a visible, respectful focal point during public
gatherings, ceremonies, and moments of reflection. For many residents, the American
flag represents service, sacrifice, freedom, and a shared commitment to the community
we call home.Installing a flagpole with proper lighting so the flag can remain visible after dark would

The upcoming 250th anniversary of America makes this a meaningful time to invest
in a lasting community feature that reflects both local pride and national heritage. Many

At Overlook Park, a flag flying high above the community would do more than overlook
