Request Toyota/Subaru to allow fullscreen Android Auto/CarPlay in their 2026+ EV lineup
The Issue
Many models of the toyota subaru EV lineup, do not fully support the fullscreen functionality of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
This leaves almost ONE THIRD of the screen unusable for 99% of the drive. The manufacturer advertises a large screen however not all of it is usable in comparison to cars with smaller screen with fullscreen carplay/android auto.
Models including the Toyota bz, Woodland, CHR, Subaru Solterra, Trailseeker, and Uncharted.
The omission of fullscreen capability in these software limits the potential for convenience, and user experience.
Fullscreen Android Auto and Apple CarPlay allow for easy access to navigation, music, and communication apps, all critical for a driver focused on the road.
We urge Toyota's management and engineering teams to consider an update or patch allowing existing car owners to enjoy the benefits of fullscreen connectivity.
