For residents who have vehicles, it becomes a challenge now going from a range of 5-6 parking spots on one street to now 3. There are more vehicles than bicycle riders on this block and it will be a new hassle for vehicle owners to find parking when coming back from work. The limited parking and additional traffic caused due to the one-way street configuration make daily commutes difficult for many Jersey City residents. We urge the city council to reconsider making the bicycle lane on Franklin Street permanent and explore alternative solutions that can accommodate both cyclists and vehicle owners effectively.
