The Iranian flag has always been a powerful symbol of identity, history, and cultural heritage. For many Iranians, the Lion and Sun emblem represents a deep and enduring connection to Iran’s historical roots.

We respectfully call for the historical Lion and Sun flag to be displayed at the entrance of the House of Iran in Balboa Park, San Diego. This emblem is not merely a design, but a symbol that reflects an important part of Iran’s cultural and historical identity.

The Lion and Sun emblem is widely recognized as a historic symbol of Iran, representing continuity, cultural depth, and a legacy that spans centuries. Displaying this emblem would acknowledge an important part of Iranian heritage and provide a more complete and inclusive representation of the Iranian community.

Given the current developments in Iran, many Iranian-Americans in San Diego view the Lion and Sun emblem as a meaningful symbol that reflects their cultural identity, lived experiences, and connection to Iran’s historical roots.

پرچم ایران همواره نمادی از هویت، تاریخ و میراث فرهنگی این سرزمین بوده است. برای بسیاری از ایرانیان، نشان شیر و خورشید بیانگر پیوندی عمیق و ماندگار با ریشه‌های تاریخی ایران است.

ما به‌طور محترمانه درخواست داریم که پرچم تاریخی شیر و خورشید در ورودی «خانه ایران» در پارک بالبوا سن‌دیگو نصب شود. این نشان صرفاً یک طرح نیست، بلکه نمادی است که بخش مهمی از هویت فرهنگی و تاریخی ایران را بازتاب می‌دهد.
