URGENT: The Deadly Impact of the Supreme Court Order – We Need Protection NOW!

I am writing this because the situation for street dogs and their caregivers in India has reached a breaking point.
Since the recent Supreme Court order, we are witnessing a terrifying shift in how society treats animals. What was intended to be a legal guideline is being weaponized by residential societies and individuals as a "license" to commit violence.
The situation on the ground is grim:
Across the country, we are seeing a massive spike in mass culling—the cruel, illegal, and inhumane killing of street dogs. This is not just happening in remote areas; it is happening in our urban residential societies. Dogs who have lived peacefully alongside us are being poisoned, beaten, and removed in secret, brutal operations.
But it doesn't stop at the dogs.
As a caregiver, I have experienced this hostility firsthand aswell.
I have seen photos of fellow caregivers beaten until they bleed for the "crime" of showing compassion.
When a society starts attacking its most compassionate citizens, we have lost our moral compass.
Why this matters:
The current legal environment is one-sided. It fails to acknowledge that caregivers are the first line of defense in managing street dog populations humanely through sterilization. By attacking us, these societies are destroying the very mechanism that makes their neighborhoods safer.
