URGENT: Government Misinterpreting Court Orders – The Crisis is Escalating!

Misinterpreting Court Orders – The Crisis is Escalating!
Dear Supporters,
The situation for animal caregivers in India is getting worse by the hour. While we are fighting for basic dignity, we are now seeing state governments—like the recent move in Punjab—misinterpreting court orders to justify mass culling and the harassment of animal lovers.
Why this is dangerous:
Governments are using vague interpretations of judicial observations to launch "drives" that are effectively illegal. Instead of focusing on scientific population control through sterilization (ABC programs), they are sanctioning the removal and culling of street dogs.
The impact on us:
Targeting Caregivers: When the government itself creates an atmosphere of fear, it gives residential societies the "green light" to threaten, abuse, and physically assault those of us who feed and care for these dogs.
Ignoring the Reality: They blame feeders for dog bites, completely ignoring that dogs often react defensively to abuse, harassment, and being cornered.
The Victimization: We are being pushed into a corner. I personally face daily threats for doing the work that the government is failing to do—neutering and vaccinating strays to make our streets safer.
My demand remains clear:
We need immediate intervention from the Supreme Court to stop state-level authorities from abusing their power. We demand a national policy that protects caregivers and mandates scientific, humane sterilization, not violence.
What you can do:
Share this update: We need the world to know that this isn't just a neighborhood issue; it is a systemic failure.
Stay Vigilant: If you see illegal culling drives in your city, document them and report them.
Keep the pressure on: Every signature, every share, and every voice counts. We will not be bullied into silence.
In solidarity,
