The Issue

Now listen here… I’ve lived in Calumet City long enough to know when something just ain’t right. And what’s going on at City Hall under Mayor Thaddeus Jones is a disgrace. It’s time we take a stand to demand accountability and integrity in our local government. Time to UNASS that seat.

The man is under federal investigation, allegedly shaking people down for jobs and contracts. Folks are saying you have to pay to work, pay to get business in this town. That’s not leadership—that’s extortion, if the allegations are true.

It’s time for him to step down. UNASS that seat and let the City Council start the hard work of restoring some dignity to Calumet City. The residents deserve better than headlines, lawsuits, and scandal.

And while he’s packing up, he can take Alderman Ramonde Williams with him. These two have gotten real comfortable living off the backs of hard-working taxpayers while the rest of us are just trying to keep our lights on and feed our families.

We didn’t elect them to get rich—we elected them to serve. And if they can’t do that with integrity, then it’s time for them to go.

Furthermore, the morale of city employees has plummeted under the current administration. There have been allegations of unfair treatment and hostile work environments, leading to a high turnover rate. This instability not only affects city employees but also impacts the services provided to the community.

Join us as we call for Mayor Thaddeus Jones to step down for the betterment of Calumet City. Sign this petition to voice your demand for a leadership that truly represents and serves its people. Change is needed, and it starts with us. Your signature can make a difference.
