Request PDRM to remove Allah and Muhammad from their logo
The Issue
This is my personal view as a concerned citizen, I find it deeply troubling that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) incorporates the names of Allah and Muhammad into their official logo. This usage does not align with the true essence and teachings of Islam, and I am worried that it promotes misconceptions about our religion.
The presence of these sacred names in the logo may imply an endorsement or representation of Islamic principles in all PDRM's actions and practices. However, instances of misconduct, corruption, or abuse reported within the force stand in stark contrast to the values that Allah and Muhammad represent, like justice, compassion, and integrity.
When institutions like PDRM do not reflect these values, it creates confusion or a misconception towards Islam. Our religion should not be misrepresented under any banner or logo where its teachings are not observed with dedication and sincerity.
The solution is straightforward: PDRM should remove the names of Allah and Muhammad from their logo. This action will help clarify and separate religious beliefs from state functions, reducing the risk of tarnishing the sacred values inherent to Islam by association with any potential misconduct or non-Islamic practices of the police force.
It is crucial for influential institutions to respect the sacred aspects of religion and ensure they are not utilized in ways that could lead to misunderstanding or misrepresentation. PDRM has the authority and responsibility to make this change, showing respect for Islam and mitigating potential confusion.
Join me in urging PDRM to make this important alteration. By doing so, we can uphold the respect Islam deserves as a faith and ensure the names Allah and Muhammad are honored correctly.
Please sign this petition to request PDRM to remove Allah and Muhammad from their logo, helping to safeguard the true portrayal of Islam in our society.
