More and more of the messages we are receiving now are from members who have tried talking to Virgin about the new music and it's detrimental impact on their gym experience, but with no genuine interaction or meaningful dialogue forthcoming, they have decided to move on.
Since most of us were incentivised to sign a 12 month contract before the new music policy came into force, one way members are leaving is by freezing memberships.
It may also be possible to argue that the contract you signed is no longer being fulfilled. This may be due to the impact of the music on the gym experience or the effects of instructors leaving and classes being cancelled. This may be time limited and should be taken up with head office.
For those of us staying to fight we need to keep up the feedback. It is our belief that whilst Virgin are trying to ride this out, they will be reviewing their music policy in due course. It is likely they will want to give it a good six months or so to bed in and for us to acclimatise to the change. Therefore it is essential we keep letting them know the impact this change has had on our classes, our motivation and our spirits!
For those of us who signed up for a year. Virgin should of course be well aware that we will be seriously considering whether we commit again next April if we are all still so unhappy with the offering.
