We, the riders of Tri Town Transit and residents of Temiskaming Shores and surrounding communities, are petitioning Tri Town Transit and the City of Temiskaming Shores to address the ongoing issue of the bus overcrowding and limited seating capacity on local transit routes.

Tri Town Transit provides an essential service that connects residents across Cobalt, North Cobalt, Haileybury, New Liskeard and Dymond. However, with ridership increasing and buses frequently reaching full capacity, many passengers-seniors, persons with mobility challenges, students, and workers- are either being left behind or forced to stand in unsafe conditions. 

We respectfully request the Tri Town Transit and the City of Temiskaming Shores, 

1.  Increase bus capacity by investing in           larger vehicles or additional bus runs.

2. Review bus schedules and ridership levels to ensure services meet community needs.

3. Improve accessibility and comfort for all passengers, particularly during peak hours.

4. Communicate clearly with the public regarding planning, improvements, or expansions. 

Improving transit capacity will not only enhance rider safety and accessibility, but also support sustainability, local employment, and community connectivity across Temiskaming Shores.
