We urge Elon Musk to permanently suspend all Twitter accounts associated with Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

As leader of the "Islamic Republic", Khamenei has "filtered" twitter in the country denying 80 million Iranians’ free access to it. For years, his government has also been shutting down the internet in Iran in order to restrict people’s access to free information, updated news on what’s happening inside the country, and also to prevent them from communicating with the rest of the world.

Despite shutting down the internet and denying access to Twitter, Khamenei himself has numerous twitter accounts through which he encourages violence and hatred misrepresenting facts and realities on developments associated with the Iranian society including the ongoing uprising in Iran.

We demand Elon Musk to put an end to this injustice by permanently suspending Khamenei's Twitter accounts.

 خامنه‌ای به‌عنوان رهبر «جمهوری اسلامی»، توییتر را در کشور «فیلتر» کرده و دسترسی آزاد ۸۰ میلیون ایرانی به آن را ممنوع کرده است. دولت او سال‌هاست که اینترنت را در ایران قطع کرده است تا دسترسی مردم به اطلاعات رایگان، اخبار به‌روز در مورد آنچه در داخل کشور اتفاق می‌افتد را محدود کند و همچنین مانع از برقراری ارتباط آنها با سایر نقاط جهان شود.

 علیرغم قطع اینترنت و ممانعت از دسترسی به توییتر، خود خامنه‌ای دارای حساب‌های توئیتری متعددی است که از طریق آنها خشونت و نفرت را تشویق می‌کند و حقایق و واقعیت‌ها را در مورد این تحولات جامعه ایران از جمله قیام جاری در ایران وارونه نشان می‌دهد.

 ما از ایلان ماسک می‌خواهیم که با تعلیق دائمی حساب‌های توییتری خامنه‌ای به این بی‌عدالتی پایان دهد.
