Request for Campus Relocation to be introduced at the end of the Academic Year.

The issue

As students, we consciously and carefully chose to enroll at Nirimba Campus because it provided the resources, environment, and balance that allowed our academic, social, and personal lives to prosper. The abrupt decision to relocate us to different campuses without prior consultation, clear explanation, or any regard for the consequences, has disrupted everything we’ve carefully built. This disruption is not just an inconvenience; it jeopardizes our future success by throwing off our academic focus, destabilizing our personal lives, and placing undue stress on our wellbeing. We stand united in our belief that this decision undermines our ability to succeed, erodes our trust in the administration, and threatens the future we envisioned when we chose Nirimba.

It is important to acknowledge that this relocation could affect students' financial stability, social networks, and the careful balance of personal and professional lives. For some, this decision has been so disruptive that they are forced to reconsider or discontinue their studies entirely.

As a student, you are most entitled to determining how your education progresses, and it is morally unjust that such a significant decision was made without your involvement.

In light of this, we are petitioning for:

  • Remain at Nirimba Campus for the duration of this academic year allowing us to complete our studies in a stable, uninterrupted environment.

What we want to prevent:

  • Disruption and/or delay to academic progress (having to rebuild and adjust)

  • Increased financial burden (e.g., travel costs)

  • Disregard for student needs and input

  • Loss of social connections and networks

  • Increased stress and burnout

  • Instability in personal lives

  • Unnecessary confusion or uncertainty

Even if you are not directly impacted — whether it’s a preference for avoiding extra travel, wanting to maintain your external social or hobby time, etc., your voice is valid and encouraged.

By signing, you will support our efforts to ensure that the students at Nirimba Campus are treated with the respect, dignity, and consideration they deserve.
