Five years ago, I was approached by Frances Amato, also known as Francesca Amato Banfield, who promised to assist with my Child Protective Services (CPS) case. She requested $600 for an ADA motion that was supposed to help my situation. Skeptical of her services, I questioned her credentials and expertise. Lucky for me, I later found a genuine advocate, Martin Lynch, who did charge for his services but truly supported my case and provided the advocacy needed.

Frances Amato is still at large, scamming unsuspecting individuals not only here in Albuquerque, New Mexico but her fraudulent reach now extends to places like Las Cruces, New Mexico, and beyond. Her promises of help go unfulfilled, yet she continues to exploit the vulnerabilities of families struggling with CPS involvement.

There is an urgent need for a federal investigation into Frances Amato's deceitful practices. Countless people have been defrauded by her false promises and misleading information concerning advocacy services. Because of her actions, families seeking help in complex CPS cases are left more bewildered and without the aid they desperately sought.

The pursuit of justice is not just for me, but for all others who may unknowingly fall victim to her scams. A thorough federal investigation will not only bring closure to those of us who have been wronged but will also prevent further exploitation.
