The Issue

This cause is highly personal for us as students, worrying about the future and the consequences this pattern may have on our careers. With the current pattern of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduation (NEET PG), students are feeling increasingly unprepared and overwhelmed. The exam's existing elements may not reflect accurately the skills and knowledge necessary for our future professions in the medical field. We, therefore, propose changes that could make the test more efficient and relevant for us. We support for a single shift pen and paper Neet PG examination as it resolves the problem of technical issues and unfair scoring due to varying difficulty levels in different shifts. It will better serve student preparation and accurately assess medical knowledge. The trends among global competitive exams lean towards more practical, case-based questions - allowing students to demonstrate their understanding via application rather than mere recollection. By aligning NEET PG with this trend, we can maintain global standards and adequately prepare India's future doctors. We urge the National Board of Examinations (NBE), the Union Health Ministry, and other relevant authorities to consider these proposed changes for the NEET PG 2025. Our future and the future of healthcare in India depend on it. Please, sign this petition to support us in our endeavor to improve medical education in our country.
