In memory of my beloved granddaughter, Cataleya Ramirez, who tragically lost her life at the tender age of 2 due to severe child abuse inflicted by her own mother, Emily Mora, I urge you to stand with me to seek justice she so rightly deserves. Cataleya's brief life was marred by unimaginable pain, and while we cannot bring her back, we can strive to ensure that her perpetrator is held accountable for her heinous actions.

Despite the overwhelming evidence of abuse, Emily Mora continues to live freely, due to what I believe to be a miscarriage of justice in Stanislaus. Unfortunately, the handling of Cataleya’s case raises concerns about the seriousness with which child abuse is addressed in this jurisdiction. The current judge seems unable or unwilling to deliver the justice Cataleya deserves, perpetuating an environment where child abuse is seemingly normalized.

Statistics reveal that only a fraction of child abuse cases receives the attention they require, with many slipping through the cracks. In Cataleya's case, this appears to be happening, with the danger that justice may ultimately be denied. It is crucial for Kings County, known for its commitment to justice, to oversee this effort to ensure that the responsible parties are held accountable and that Cataleya's tragic death is not in vain.

I implore the authorities to relocate this case from Stanislaus to Kings County, to kings County where it can be re-evaluated with fresh eyes and an unyielding demand for justice. By relocating the trial, we not only stand a better chance of achieving justice for Cataleya but also send a strong message against child abuse everywhere.
